Mityana district has today joined the rest of the world to celebrate Women’s Day held at Butayunja Sub County Under the theme “Equal Opportunities in Education, science, and Technology for Innovation and Gender-equal Future”.
Presiding over as the guest of honor Judith Nabakooba Nalule Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development cautioned all the people of Mityana who are affected by land wrangles to use her office so that they can get assisted.
Minister Nabakooza urges residents when they are voting to vote wisely for the people who will benefit them when they have problems to solve.
The Chairperson of Mityana District Women’s Council Mary Nabisubi reported to the Hon Minister the challenges they are facing which include not having a permanent office where they can meet and also the delay of funds for the women’s council.
